KOMATSU PC1100LC-6 excavator w/ quick coupler
and removable boom / counter weight
Base Model: JOAL PC1100LC-6
Scale: 1:50

Here is my customized Komatsu PC100LC-6

The bucket has been removed and a quick coupler from CMM
Schwerlast has been installed, with an added hook on
the front like the real machine has

The bucket has been modified with raised rear pin holes and
a front brass rod to adapt to the quick coupler

Front view w/ bucket detached

The bucket can be attached or detached quickly with just the
removal of a pin

Other various attachments can be connected as well, such as
this compaction wheel shown above

Since the real machine is to heavy with the counter weight
attached for transport I made this PC1100-6 equipped w/
a removeable counter weight

Added the appropriate "DANGER" decals

The massive counter weight being lowered into place

The front boom being fitted

The final result

Quick coupler version Vs. standard version

One big machine = 3 truck loads

Here's a good shot of the PC1100LC putting the quick coupler to
work by quickly detaching the bucket and using the hook on
the front of the coupler to attach those chains and
lower in that trench box to continue excavation
