CAT 325B L w/ long reach boom
Base Model: NZG CAT 325B L
Scale: 1:50

Here is my custom built 325B L long reach excavator. You can see
just how big the new boom is with that man standing beside it

The boom came from an M.E.C. resin kit and replced the original
NZG 325B L boom. Here's a view from the front

It's long alright, here's a side view

Rear view

And pic of the far side

Hydraulic lines run from the carbody up the boom

The booms hydraulic lines and "MESA" co. decals

Stands tall...

...And can dig incrediably deep

Here's a comparison pic next to a standard 325B L

Side comparison shot

Length comparison pic

When it comes to digging depth there is no comparison

In the end I was very pleased how this model turned out and
the only other thing I'd like to do in the future is add a quick
coupler on the end along with a wide ditch cleaning bucket

Here's a shot of the long reach excavator in action restoring
this channel side after last seasons heavy wash-out rains

Another shot from inside the channel looking up at the
excavator as it scoops up that rock and silt
